Code Breaking
Friends,
The serial number prefix seems to correspond with the JL B code. I would be happy to hear (through PM or posting) how other 1957-69 Swift prefixes agree or disagree with makers' marks. The "TJK" looks not to be an individual maker, and yet binoculars by other importers have different letters. Perhaps a generic label for something as simple as Tokyo Japan Kogaku (I'm not convinced) or an exporter handling Swifts from different makers?
