10,000 posts for Monsieur Derry!

30 to go folks! At this point in time...

You have all of today to get him there.

Good luck to all!

PS This thread has limited life...Who can provoke him towards that milestone?

Ooooh! A challenge! Will be hard to get there today as I'm out all afternoon and only just got up! Maybe time to pop over to the id forum to declare everything a meadow pipit even if I don't really know what it is!

you know, on reflection - is 10,000 posts really such a good thing - that's like 10,000 minutes which is 166.6666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666 66666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666 6666666666666 hours which is equivalent to an ENTIRE week of writing posts - and that's just writing them, how much time do I spend reading others' posts?

one closer to the 10,000 anyway!

I'd view it as 10,000 comments that various people have much appreciated. Always thoughtful and perceptive responses Nick.

10,000 posts - hell of a long fence Nick. ( Rather late at night here so what do you expect - intelligent conversation? )

Number 10,000 - here it is!

To describe the pic, it's six lapwings loafing on a bit of mud with a great white egret in front of them - cross-like composition contrasting horizontal lapwing background with upright egret.
