Using 10x40 Dialyts on a tripod?

Hi People:

How have people managed to use their 10x40 Dialyts on a tripod as it does not have a screw for a tripod?

http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produc...ar_Tripod.html

Does anyone have any experience with these?

Any suggestions welcome.

Thanks.

Craig.

Hello Craig,

I owned a Dialyt for a few months and understand your need for a tripod.

The Nikon adapter is made of leather, which wraps around the binocular, and which almost certainly works with the Dialyt. The Nikon device is raher less expensive than the Leica or the Zeiss adapters. I used the Nikon adapter and found it satisfactory for a middle sized binocular. Try to buy one from a firm with a good return policy, so that you can try it out.

Once you settle on an adapter, you should consider a monopod rather than a tripod. My monopod is certainly good enough for a twelve power binocular.

Happy bird watching,

It would seem that I did put the Dialyt on the Nikon adapter, but I still returned the binocular. I probably decided that if I needed the support, I would use a twelve power glass.
