Japan Egret
Hi All
In reviewing some older images, I came across a couple of shots of an egret. I had this down as great egret, but I believe there are other similar species in that part of the world, so thought I'd check my original ID. Please could someone confirm ID? Thanks

Looks like an Intermediate, gape line doesn't extend beyond the eye and black tipped bill are good features.

Thanks to all.
Intermediate was a possible for me, but wasn't sure of the key diagnostic features.

Bill looks rather beefy for great egret to me. I cast another vote for intermediate.

The gape line indicates it is an Intermediate Egret.
