Turkish name of Cygnus olor,Fulica atra and Aythya fuligula
Hello,
can anybody help me with the turkish names of Cygnus olor, Fulica atra und Aythya fuligula? It is for a german-turkish information paper on german waterfowl. Thank you Manne |

A short check in Wikipedia brings:
Cygnus olor: Sessiz kuğu Aythya fuligula: Tepeli patka Fulica atra: Sakarmeke Go to Wikipedia, choose the article in your language (eg. Blässhuhn) and change the language to Turkish (Türkçe). André

I was told before: Cygnus olor: Sessiz ördek Aythya fuligula: Sorguclu ördek Fulica atra: Su tavugu Wikipedia gives other results. That is the background of my question. Are that synonyms? Manne Last edited by ManneA : Monday 6th December 2010 at 07:40. |

This site may be of use http://www.kad.org.tr/turkiyenin-kuslari According to this Cygnus olor is kuğu in Turkish, Aythya fuligula is tepeli patka and Fulica atra is sakarmeke. John
