Upthread there's a very smart drawing of an osprey - lovely lines here Espen and really nicely drawn form to the bird. The common tern sketches are very nice too. This bubble reflection pic is intriguing - I like the image of your dad striding purposefully off-set. (what is it you're doing here? - playing a transparent oboe, or drinking a yard of ale?)

Nice job on all these, Espen! Always fun to see which birds are rarities elsewhere. We have Lesser Scaup on almost every pond in our area in the winter - including the pond tucked right between the grocery store we frequent and a number of apartment buildings. The first two, however, are definitely not found in our neck of the woods at all.

Wonderful group of sketches! Common Yellowthroats are one of my favorite warbler species - quite common around here in season.

ok,

1: greenish warbler, green warbler, tb greenish warbler, thought they were a good bird complex to focus on to improve my wings

2: dipper, there might be a few of these coming up, as i've just started ringing(mainly dippers, although i'll be ringing all sorts throughout the summer) so a good chance to study them closer up.

3: cackling canada goose, backgrounds definitely aren't my strong point!

Great stuff here, Espen - and a nice progress in your tread as well. I espercially like the warbler-studies - such delicate details there. Keep it up! By the way - are you part scandinavian? Espen is a common name here in Norway...
