New Year's Day Bird Race 2011 (1 Viewer)

Well, I was only racing myself, managed to see 74 ... ish ... on the local patch(es), but it was all on foot ...

... just a bit tired now (looked on the map and it was only 12 miles or so ... felt like more :eek!: ). Some good birds though :t:

Managed to see 87 species for the day - Team: Me! After a slow start in drizzly, dull weather!

I got to only 34 species but that was primarily down to a 3 hour wait for a regular ring billed gull that decided to miss today.

I had big plans for yesterday morning but unfortunately woke up with a very bad chest cold and fever. So my garden birds totaled a whopping 6 species!!!

Working 6am until 12.30 but then had a couple of hours at Boulmer beach to recover from the grumpy customers who expect newspapers to be delivered by 6.30am.....even when some of our paperlads don't come in!!! :C Those couple of hours worked tho' :t: Came back as chilled as if I'd swallowed 20 prozac :-O

Oh....and saw 28 species too :king:
