Highs of my day:
Observed around 500 SNOW GEESE in a local farm field (Hamlin, NY) this afternoon, at one point they all took off en masse, I was thrilled. Also spotted 2 beautiful tundra swans resting in a field. So many Canada geese that I cannot even estimate a number!! AND saw my FOY turkey vulture. A beautiful, sunny day for birding here in western NY! Love spring migration. |

The noisy spectacle of 500 Snow Geese lifting off is indeed something amazing to behold!
