Thanks Mike, glad you enjoyed. It's certainly very diverse and nowhere is birdless like at home. We love it there. Hope you didn't get into trouble.

Great report, Mike! I visited Costa Rica last year and enjoyed it very much. We also stayed at the Arenal Observatory lodge and saw many of the species you mentioned at the feeders. It's a great country for birds and it's obvious you managed to see a respectable number! Truly enjoyed reading your report.
Cheers, Peter If you're interested in a few pictures from our trip: http://peterdehoog.smugmug.com/Travel/Costa-Rica/ |

Good trip report Mike.I`ve birded the Tortuguero area in the past, still underwatched compared to most other CR locations, but superb area.

Thanks guys. Lovely pictures Peter, you have some cracking hummingbird shots. We didn't see as many hummers this time but did last year in the Monteverde area. Last year's report is here if you are interested http://www.birder.pwp.blueyonder.co....ica%200210.htm

Good report Jynx with plenty of helpful tips. It's been bookmarked for when we can find time to revisit CR once more.
