Humboldt Bay or Arcata marsh?
During a road trip up through California and into Oregon we'll be staying 1 night in the Eureka/Arcata area (mid June).
Which would provide the better birding the following morning, Humboldt NWR or Arcata marsh? |

Arcata marsh. And it's not too far from Stoneman lagoon either.

I went to Arcata Marsh last Sep/Oct and it was good for Ducks and Waders, although mid-June is not going to be ideal for either of those. Another option could be Arcata Community Forest, which was good for Varied Thrush and Grey Jay.
