last few to ID
Hi guys,
the last few...all in germany. Any idea what's going on in the 3rd photo?? Seemed to be a lot of caterpillars "bound" in webbing on the side of a tree. Never seen that before. regards, Last edited by M Cowming : Friday 29th February 2008 at 19:47. |

I reckon, large whites (getting minerals from coal?!?) large skipper? and a recent hatching of catterpillars, from the look of the empty egg cases in the web.

Not Large Skipper as that would show distinct blotching on the wing but which of the others it is I wouldn't like to say.
