ID Request - Hummingbird - Santa Cruz, Ca, USA
These shots were taken right on the beach in the middle of Santa Cruz (Natural Bridges beach). I am guessing Anna's due to the coloration on the forehead (which Sibley's doesn't show for Costa or Ruby-throated). The color looks right - it was magenta/fuchsia.
The pictures are not great (and I did edit them to reduce contrast and lighten the shadows - originally the birds appeared black in the RAW files). Any opinions? Thanks! Christian |
