Kidwelly Quay

Kidwelly Quay

Town is 10 miles West of Llanelli on A484.
Follow signs in the town for the old quay.

Good estuary and mud flat area for waders and duck. Especially in Autumn and Winter. Also good for terns, sandwich terns regularly in autumn on migration. The hedgerows and nearby sewage farm area always good for summer warblers and all usual species of songbirds.
Good to visit a any time of year due to the different habitats, but can be subject to a lot of interference from dog-walkers.
