where were you mate, I have just got back from Galloway and we visited the Threave Estate Ospreys, the viewing station is miles away from the nest but we saw both parents through a scope.

Alright peter...get yourself up to sweethope loch or sweethope lough is the proper name......pair where hanging about all last year and are back this year...and they are not the kielder pair.....like yourself dont want to give too much away but they are back this year...and have ben taking fish from the big loch or lough as they say.

Seen one circuling the smaller loch over easter from my caravan window and for 1 minute thought it was going to come down and take a fish...but for some reason changed its mind....however later on in the day two were seen at the top end of the big loch....suppose thats all i can say !!!!

hello carman......

this thread is foe anyone who wants to read it....but as you are probably aware I "apparantely " give too much info out on BOP in Northumberland....so now i am starting to respect the wishes of the majority of people on here...so sweethope lough is all i am prepared to divulge in at the minute...or as per usuall i will get myself into lots of hot water....from the Northumberland birding fraternity...so i have decided to say as little as possible because for some reason i end up upsetting everyone one....especially the ones who know a lot less than me on here...hahhahaha !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Everyone knows there are Osprey in Northumberland mate, wouldn't worry about a few do gooders. I am all for protecting nest site and if I ever saw anyone attempting to steal eggs from any bird they would get a message from me. You have gave nothing away other than an area where Osprey are known to fish.
