Red-winged Blackbird, young male (hatched sometime earlier this year).

P.S. For the benefit of narrowing down the scope a bit, it helps if you also post where the photo was taken. Some people prefer only to look at mystery birds from their own "patches".

Thanks for the reply.. and yes, i should have done that, sorry. The photo was taken last month in the East Kootenays of British Columbia, Canada.
