Some time ago, I remember seeing an adaptor/eyepiece, which attached to your telephoto SLR camera lens, to convert it to a telescope.
The magnification was focal length/10. I have a very high quality Pentax (K mounting) 80 -200mm lens, which would potentially make a very good 8x - 20x telescope. Unfortunately, I can no longer find the eyepiece advertised (still looking). It is clear however, from my first aquaintance with this forum, that many of you are well into adaptors for telescopes/cameras, so it seemed logical that someone might know something about this particular fitting. I'll follow up your suggestions Interestingly, adapter is the correct general spelling, but adaptor refers specifically to something which allows the interchange of lenses in a camera. However, as the web rules, I guess I will have to use the general form. Cheers Desparate |
