One ID and a confirmation, Southeast Arizona, USA
I think the first is a Chipping Sparrow (photos one and two), the second (photo 3 and 4) is really stumping me. He/she was alone, not in a flock. Doesn't look like a sparrow beak, thinking some kind of Bunting? The dark, almost black, coloring on the primaries is confusing me. It was this dark in the field.
As usual, any and all help is appreciated.

The second bird (photo 3 and 4) is a Lark Bunting.
I think you're right with the first bird - a first-winter Chipping Sparrow. |
