Down to one I'm not sure about this time

I think this may be a rustic or The Uncertain - what do you folks make of it?

Thanks

I'd have put that down as a square-spot rustic--of which I seem to be getting lots at the moment.

Thanks Ken - just looked at the pics on UK moths and I'm sure you are correct. It's also a moth we've had here before so not sure why I didn't ID it - or maybe what I did ID as a Square Spot Rustic last time was incorrect.

I'm getting a lot of them at the moment, and they seem to be pretty variable. (Or maybe I'm getting lots of species that I'm misidentifying...)

Ceratinly is a square-spot Rustic. My impression this year, is that they're more variable than in previous years.

No doubt about it Square-spot Rustic, good photograph, I wish mine were half as good. I agree Angus, a good year for varieties of this species.
