Trying to get onto Werribee
Hi,
I'm based in Brisbane, Australia. On Easter weekend I will be taking my first ever trip to Melbourne just to check out the birding. I dearly wish to get onto the Western Treatment Plant (Werribee) wetlands as I've heard all about how awesome they are, but since this was a spontaneously planned trip (plane tickets only just booked a couple of days ago) I haven't had time to get the access permit approval. I was wondering if anyone who has key/permit access was headed to Werribee on Easter Sunday, if I might arrange to meet up with them and join in on a day's birding. Best thing to do would be to put a request on the birding oz listserve
birding-aus@vicnet.net.au There are plenty of melbourne based birders who might be able to take you out. Hope you get in and have a fab time, its a pretty special place! Rob
