I think I used the iphone version for the above post...but I have the ipad version as well.
It is really pre-beta, and we know it's not perfect as, yet so feedback most welcome.

Andy, why are galleries listed under more? Can you search for a specific gallery or your own, doesn't seem to be a way

On an ipad that doesn't matter as much, as there's more width than an iphone...but that was one of the first issues i noticed on the iphone, and it's basically the 2nd most important part of Birdforum, so it will be changed so that it is placed after forums.

There is some debate as to whether the colour scheme should be the current green that we use, rather than the old red that birdforum used to be.

No, there doesn't appear to be a search system in the gallery, nor 'my photos'. That will be something we have to look into.

And yes, something has gone screwy with replies on the app, with a no permission sign popping up now.

I didn't get the permission mentioned. If you are not logged in, then the permission message is displayed from the BirdForum.net website.

Yes, although the app says you are signed in, you need get to the last page of the reply thing, so you are viewing the main website off-app and log-in there... then you can reply on the app itself, a 'status' pop-up appears and the reply is posted.
Still screwy and needs work done on it.

The app should automatically log you in when you start. I think the confusion comes from displaying the status message, even on success. This is a quick test to see how it feels with no status at all.

Hi, in the bird I'd section there are no images showing only text. I've downloaded the app on an iPad.

You need to touch the message and then you see the post in full, at the bottom of the screen is a paperclip icon, touch that to see the photo.
The navigation is a bit frustrating, you touch a message to see the full post, then touch that message and go to a web view of the post...but getting back to the thread you were looking at doesn't seem obvious to me.

Thanks I can view the pics now. To get back to the thread Iclick done on the pic, there is a back button on the top left of the screen to take you back to whatever thread then forum you want.

Quick question on the forums how can you get to the last post in a thread as it seems to go to the start of every thread? Some of these threads are very long as well so it's a pain clicking the arrow all the way though them. I do quite like this app by the way :-)

Not sure there is a quick way....yet. This is still pre beta really.

If you tap on the page number button on the bottom action bar, a menu will popup for first and last page. Would it be better to always start at the last page?

Note, paging is disabled if there is only one page of posts, otherwise you will see 1 of n, where n is the last page number.

I've been using the app and must say I like it. Couple of questions, suggestions.

Can I reverse the order of posts to see the latest first, or,
can i see new post as on the main forum.

A button for last page would be useful if these are not user controls.

Hampers, thanks for the suggestions. If you touch the page label, e.g. 1 of 99, on the action bar, it will popup an action sheet for First and Last page.
