Hi from Corfu, Greece

Hi everyone,

I was forwarded to this site by my daughter and son-in-law who are keen birdwatchers. I have become interested since moving to Greece.

I had difficulty identifying some water birds following a visit to the Lefkimmi Salt Flats in Corfu which itself was prompted by reports of a flock of Great Flamingoes arriving there. I had no difficulty identifying them!

Prepare yourselves for some real newbie questions!

Bob

Welcome Bob,

We've all got to start somewhere, so ask away, you'll find lots of helpful information & board members on here.
You'll be surprised how quickly you start to pick things up, but theres no substitute for getting out there with a pair of binoculars & a field guide, & just looking.

welcome Bob
one thing I've learnt with this hobby is no matter how much or how little you know you will never be far from people that know less and more than you. Just enjoy the hobby it's one in which you never stop learning.
