#2 is indeed a Red-eyed Vireo
#4 is a Least Sandpiper
#5 is a Pectoral Sandpiper

Only 2 more left!

Here's the score:

M. Cowming: 1

Fairly wild guesses at 1 and 3 would be Palm Warbler and Scarlet Tanager.

Absolutely correct!

Sorry Dave, but you don't get a prize. (Even though you did get 4 out of 5!)

More quizz photos coming!

M. Cowing beat you to Red-eyed Vireo. You correctly identified all of them, but M. Cowing got Red--eyed Vireo before your did.

Okay, here is a new set. There are only two photos, but there are multiple birds in both photos. Take a shot at these!

Brain's not functioning today.

I'm OK with the 3 Starlings in the second pic (I hope!)
Think the bird in the foreground of the first is a juv Wilson's Phalarope

That's me lot.

Jason: you are in a ways, correct. There are only 2 starlings in the second photo. Wilson's Phalarope is incorrect.

Torch - Yes, starlings and a robin. The question remains; what is the brown bird in link #2? It's not a juvenile starling!

Lesser Yellowlegs for the large wader then? Extreme left-hand wader (pure guess this): Western Sandpiper?

Ah yes, I can see the robin now. The pale bird's really throwing me. Northern Mockingbird? Don't really think so though.

Yes, the shorebird is a Lesser Yellowlegs. Sorry - the wader on the far left is not a Western Sandpiper.

The mystery of the pale borwnish bird in photo #2 still stands. Two hints here: the photo was taken in southern Michigan, and here's a blown up version showing the pale bird:

Thanks. So it really is a pale bill - I was hoping it was a blade of grass! So I'm back to thinking about Evening Grosbeak. Discounted that before because the bird looks too pale and pink. The bill still looks a bit too pointy, but I can't see what else with a pale bill fits.

Jason, you are overlooking one thing. The bird's bill isn't really pale, its just the way the light's hitting it. Here's an even more blown-up pic:

http://www.keinetworks.org/duck/forum62.jpg

Surreybirder, it is not a sapsucker, but you are getting closer!

No, not Clark's Nutcracker. Your other guess was very close though!

My excuse is that I've not been in N. America since 1986!
OK, I'll try northern flicker.

Northern Flicker is correct! However, most of those shorebirds haven't been indentified.

Not a Long-billed Curlew. Compare it in size to the Lesser Yellowlegs in the foreground

OK - pretty much pure guesswork:

Left to right: Spotted Sandpiper, Long-billed Dowitcher and Sanderling.
