Hi from Washington State

Hello fellow birders,
My wife and I live on Orcas Island. Over the years our interest in birds has grown to the point we are trying to learn their calls, improve our identification skills and better appreciate how they interact with the environment. Looking forward to learning and exchanging information about these wonderful creatures.

Hi orcasbob and a warm welcome to you on behalf of the Staff and Moderators.

I'm sure you will enjoy it here and I'll look forward to reading about what you see when out and about.

Hello and welcome to the forum. I vacationed in the San Juan Islands about 10 years ago, and hopefully will get back there some day. We had a great time, saw some birds and some orcas.

Hey Washington State....I am too!...but on the other side. You are in a much richer birding environment than Walla Walla...as I call it, a nuclear dead-zone for birds....

Orcas has sea birds....you have such a rich variety of eco-systems...get out and bird, enjoy it all... jim
