Anyone know the cost of replacing an objective lens?
My trusty old ELs have now got a chip on one objective lens. I called Swarovski UK and they said they could not give me an estimate over the phone - they'd have to be sent to Austria (if it's too much they will send them back for free). So before I pack them up and send them off has anyone else done this and if so how much did it cost?

If you've had them from new (with Swarovski warranty) then chances are it'll be free. I may be very wrong, but Swarovski replaced the objective lens on my scope for no cost.

Sean. About year ago i dropped my EL's and chipped one of the lens. I took it to my nearest dealer who sent them back to Swarovski. It cost me £145 inc. The bins came back like new ,both objective lens,and the rubber covering had been replaced and the focusing had been serviced and changed to quick focus ratio. I did not expect it to be FOC as i had dropped them. Very pleased with the service and the turn round (about two weeks on memory)

You may have some kind of accidental damage cover under your house contents policy? The excess might well very less than the cost of repairs. Might be worth exploring.
