Sorry Lou, but the boldness of the supercilium, the angle of shot?
The PP is altered by the angle?

I favour WW for this bird. Think it needs more discussion.

Still, I go with Willow Warbler.

no need to be sorry, phil.
i was going on pp alone; now that i've taken out the ruler the measurements confirm that it is right at the edge between the two sp., ~65%. chiffer should show up to 60%, WW at least 70%. i don't believe the angle is wrong for measuring it properly. chiffers also can have strong supers. ok, so there is room for discussion. let's let apart the darkness of legs. obviously an adult since it has a moult gap between p4 and p6.
