Black vultures following semi-tame Muscovy Ducks and even waddling? (1 Viewer)

I am very new to birding, and the area where I do most of my woods activity is very special to me and I am not going to disclose where I go, but one place that I will disclose, multiple places actually, is in West Houston. there is a small park with a pond near the BP building off I-10 that you can actually observe black vultures waddling behind Muscovy ducks on the trail, they just follow them around for some odd reason, and that reason isn't because there are ducklings. the one's I have seen them following like this are large males.

that isn't the only place I have seen them doing that either. multiple small parks with ponds and semi-tame Muscovy's, I have seen 3-4 ducks being followed by 2-6 black vultures, and they are all waddling. It is almost like a scene from the Aristocats children's movie where the geese insist on the cats walking just like they do.

By the way, the vultures aren't tame like the ducks, but you can easily get to within ten feet of them. the ducks will ALMOST eat out of your hand. there is a pond in katy where you can sit down and throw out food (i try to bring them healthy food, but most of the other people throw out stale Captain Crunch and worse) and they will walk right up to you with their babies and all. Those muscovies are strange. The vultures at that park engage in odd behavior as well.

I think if you sat in one place long enough, you could probably get those vultures to come right up to you as well.
