Bump for this underutilised thread ...

There's an open-box Vanguard Spirit ED, about 60.00 off new, which might suit someone looking for an inexpensive 10x42, here : http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/offer-lis...5156127&sr=1-1.

And some discounted (discontinued ?) larger objective Minox HGs here : http://www.swillingtonshootingsuppli.../24/136/Minox/.

Swillington also have a couple of pre-owned 7x42 Ultavids.

New SLC 8x42 HD's 999. Cracking price for these. Would be tempted to order these myself if it were not such a gamble on whether you got a good focuser or not and also the fact that I inexplicably prefer the Conquest HD's to the SLC HD's I briefly owned. Oh and I've not got any money, forgot about that one . Still, as I said, cracking deal

Thanks for the heads up Samandag. Got these yesterday for my wife and she is thrilled with them.

They have a great relaxed view with good contrast and a pretty neutral image as far as I can tell.

So they're a bit long and they could focus a bit nearer and have a bit wider field of view but what they do they do well. Compared to my HG 8x32's they're not quite as sharp but you don't feel you're missing anything when using them.

A bargain for 99 including Nikon 10 year guarantee.

Many thanks for the heads up on the Discoveries David, ordered them on Monday evening & they arrived safely this morning well packaged.
I was looking for a replacement compact pair of bins as my well used Opticron Taigas will soon be going to Africa with my daughter & will be donated when she's finished with them.

Thanks again,

John.

A similar offer.

Swarovski SLC 10x42 HD, ex-demo, Cat 1, 999 :

http://www.bushwear.co.uk/product/sw...10x42-hd-cat-1

They have some others Cat 3 ('used') so it would be prudent to ask about condition.

That's odd because William Powell died in 1984:

Really liked him in the "Thin Man."

Must be his son's warehouse.

This seems to be an absolute bargain for someone - Swarovski SLC 15x56
Picture would suggest it is the latest current model but buyer would need to confirm exactly what they are getting, etc.

The one pictured is the discontinued (2010) EDG I, first edition of the EDG, which as far as I know was only sold in the USA. Inquire about the warranty to make sure it is not refurbished. In the USA Nikon's refurbished binoculars only have a 90 day warranty.
