Talking Wishful thinking?

I had a very poor catch last night... but it did include my third merveille du jour, so shouldn't compain.
I've been trying to decide what this carpet is... and trying to turn it into a Devon--which it almost certainly isn't!
Any thoughts,
Ken

Looks very uncannily similiar in markings to a Spruce carpet I put on BF recently.

It is harder when you flip them upside down!!!

I'm more-or-less convinced by spruce... it was the dark mark on the outer corner of the termen that had me wondering. The fact that Devon isn't on the Surrey list, and flies in September, had me worried!

My eyes are glazing over!

I suppose you are referring to the short dark horizontal line?

I still haven't seen one tho I keep checking the Oak trees but judging from the weather the last few days, I've had my chance 'til next year!

Quite right - Jasonbirder wouldn`t hybridise (in case i`m culled!!!)
Very Jealous of your catches recently - my last 2 evenings have seen a grand total of 1 Setaceous Hebrew Character & 2 Black Rustics!!! Starting to get to the point where i`ll give up for the year - but still want a Red-line & Yellow-line Quaker for my garden list so i`ll give it a little while longer...

Hello Jason,
I'm in my first year so everything new is exciting, including my first Black Rustic. I did start to feel that way about Square spot Rustic tho when there were 10 at a time on my window.
Now you know what happens if you say you're giving up!

Jen :-)

I need rlq and ylq, too, amongst many others. From what I can gather the best bet is to keep trying and hope that you get the occasional good night. I'm still experimenting with 'sugaring' too.
