South African Birds identification

Hi everybody,
During my holidays in South Africa i have taken lots of pictures of mammals and birds.
Unfortunately for me I can not correctly identifies some birds.
for me the vulture looks like of the Cape vulture of the African whitebacked vulture. For pics DSC1676 it looks like a natal francolin.

So if one of you has got an idea...shoot.

The picture in attach where taken in august 2012 in Kruger Park round Satara and Skukuza (south Africa).

Let me apologize in advance for the poor pictures quality
JF

Hi JF,

Pics 1/3/5 show White-backed vultures, no Cape Griffon in there.
2 is a hooded vulture
4 is indeed a Natal francolin

Thumbs up south african birds identification part 2

Hi Tib78,
thanks for the quick answer, i have got some more if you want to have a look at it?

first one was taken in the kruger park same location and period as the previous one.
second was taken near Cape Town at The Cape of Good Hope (might be a Pipit, but which one?)
Third was Taken in Hermanus Western Cape Province (False Bay)
Fourth was taken in Kirstenbosch behind Table Mountain.

Thanks for the help, my kids will be very happy to put a name on those ones.

Hi Tib78,

if you have got some time 5 more to go

might it be:
1: Golden weaver
2: Yelloweyed Canary
3: Lesser masked weaver
4: Southern boubou male
5: Southern boubou female

i am defently not a specialist so all my guesses might be wrong.

I agree with 4 and 5 and tentatively with 3 (though location would help, same for 1 though I don't think it's a Golden Weaver).

2 is a Yellow-fronted Canary

1 and 3 are both Lesser masked weavers. Agree with Jacana on the rest.
