Hello,

New to the forum and great information on here!

I was curious if anyone could help me identify the bird being used in this picture?

It's a white-breasted nuthatch I believe.

Don't think there are any look-alikes elsewhere in the world.

With such an image I don't know if a location would really help. Photos on posters or advertising could be from anywhere.

I'm not sold on White-breasted Nuthatch, but the pic is very small. The shape looks good, but where is the white breast? I think Israel, which the poster seems to be about, has a couple of other nuthatches. Rock Nuthatch maybe?

It´s rather anti-Israel and the bird a artistic drawing of the Arabian Woodpecker (Dendrocopos dorae). That would make sense, or am I wrong?

I must note that in "Birds if Middle East" it´s painted with more red on the belly.

PS: Don´t know why the 1st link isn´t working for, no problems here on different laptops and desktop.

definitely a white-breasted nuthatch - the mark at the bend of the underwing is diagnostic
