I'm beyond hope....

Greetings!

Just received a largeish check from a recent contract, and couldn't wait to go binocular shopping!

Picked up a pair of Nikon HG 10x25 Compact binoculars today on sale, $289+tax. I saw them yesterday at a local camera shop that was discontinuing Nikon binoculars, they were marked $279 - but the person making the markdown sign made a $10 mistake. I tried to get them to honor the sign price, at no avail... they claimed the computer price was fixed. Oh well... I happily bought them anyway. LOVE them so far... excellent brightness and sharpness, the entire field is razor sharp out to about 5% of the edge... truly amazing. Can't wait to do more birding with them tomorrow!

Browsing the internet this evening, I finally found an online retailer with Bausch&Lomb Discoverer 10x42 Roof Prism binoculars with RainGuard coating in stock, I've been looking for a pair ever since I bought my 7x42 locally. So far, it's been VERY frustrating, I've had no success locating one. I figured I probably wouldn't find a pair, everyone I contacted was sold out and none are available locally. Anyway, I called another internet retailer this evening and was shocked to find they had 1 left in stock, $280 with free shipping! I ordered it immediately, it will be delivered on Wed. of next week. The 7x42 Discoverer has thoroughly impressed me so far, I can't wait to evaluate the 10x42 model.

Yes... I'm beyond hope... a true binocuholic. No meetings for me, thanks... I'm loving every minute of it!

Best wishes,
Bawko

I think you are a really lucky guy. I'm really more of a binocuholic than you are but don't get to use half as many as you apparently have and will.
