An easy raptor ID, I'm sure...
Here's one I'm sure is probably pretty easy, but I'm not really sure on it. The photographer says it's a female Goshawk, but I'm pretty sure that doesn't seem right. Presumably shot in Europe, likely Spain. I just don't know European birds at all.
http://www.photoexposure.com/search....5397,5396,5395 Please let me know what it is. Thanks! Last edited by Peacock : Monday 29th November 2004 at 17:43. |

Harris' Hawk is still my suspicion, but any other ideas would be appreciated. |

It is a Harris Hawk without doubt.

Hi Peacock,
I agree with Tristan, this is a Harris's Hawk. It may well have been photographed in Europe: the species is commonly held in captivity, and it is very likely that this bird belonged to the photographer.... Harry |

Have just typed Goshawk in the search engine and it does in fact bring up stills of a Goshawk. Where does it actually say that these Harris Hawks are Goshawks?
