Barlow Lens & Spotting scopes
Morning All,
A question from a Dummy. I have a Pentax PF-80 spotting scope and a Williams 28mm eye piece that I use w/my Nikon CP-4500 for digiscoping. I also have a Meade 2XTelenegative Barlow Lens that I use on an inexpensive telescope Last week I had a brain storm and attached the Barlow Lens to the spotting scope, then the Williams eye piece w/the CP-4500 to the Barlow Lens. I had no focusing problems as long as what I was focusing on was no further away than about 30 yards. Anything beyond that I could not focus on. My feeble mind does not grasp why the lens will work using the telescope at great distances, but not the spotting scope. I’m sure there is a reason, can someone help me w/this. Should the word Telenegative tell me something? Thanks in advance. Happy Holidays to All Dick |
