Requested: Optics Stores with lots of scopes in NE USA
Hi everyone
I was hoping people could give me the names of good optics stores in the NE USA (say within 3 hours' drive of Wilmington, Delaware) that have an excellent selection of top of the line scopes. This would include Baltimore, Philadelphia, Washington and NYC, among perhaps others. I will be in Wilmington over the Christmas holidays and am hoping to buy a scope - prices are much cheaper in the US than here in Canada for some reason. I was going to buy online (Eagle Optics or Adorama) and may still do so, but I think it would be better to buy in person from a store even if it'll cost more. This is for some obvious reasons (try before you buy) and not so obvious ones (a friend had a lot of trouble with UPS insisting on delivering only during the day when no one was home). Thanks for any info.

Do a Google search and type in "binoculars and reviews" and chances are you'll come up with Adorama and 47th St Photo, both in N.Y. Adorama carries Nikon, Pentax, Bushnell, Kowa, Zeiss, to name a few brands.

And don't forget B&H photo in N.Y.C. Is that close to where you'll be? I've ordered from them online and highly recommend them.
