Hello, I am seeking confirmation that I have ID'd the birds in the two attached photos correctly.
P427314 - Blue-Grey Gnatcatcher
P4252038 - Blue-Grey Tanager.
Welcome corrections if I am mistaken.

thanks in advance, Brenda

It has been suggested to me to consider Black-capped for the gnatcatcher, due to the bird's long bill. I had assumed that the pic was taken at least somewhere in the vicinity of the place with the tanager, so had automatically ruled out Black-capped on range, alone. However, there was no provided indication that the two pix were, indeed, taken in the same area. So, because Mexico is a very large and VERY diverse country, a bit-more-precise location would be more than simply helpful in sussing the ID of the bird. How 'bout it?

The gnatcatcher was sighted at the Chitzen Itza ruins in Yucatan.
The tanager was sighted by the lake at Cobá in Quintana Roo.

Both are states on the Yucatan peninsula, SE mexico.
