Passerine, Thailand, Doi Lang, March 2014 (1 Viewer)

Dear all,
One of my friends, Kurt M. Nielsen, photographed this passerine on Doi Lang, northern Thailand, March 2014.

One birder has thought it may be a Large Niltava.

Please comment.

Best regards,

Mysterious Doi Lang bird

It looks like it has dark malar stripes which is wrong for any Niltava ! Also the size of this bird, is much smaller than Large Niltava.
But if someone can come up with a similar Photo of a L. Niltava showing same imagies, I will stop in the dust !

Hi Again

I think it´s is fair to say that Tony Eagle Eye (Thanaphat Kinglek), came up with exactly the same suggestion.... but I´m not convinced
