I am having a holiday close to kruger national park in January 2017 and look to go birdthing and the problem being I'm the only one that wants to go birding do anyone know a low cost guide

Try Birding Ecotours.....they are SA based and, although they do specific tours, will do day tours if you contact them. I used them during my SA holiday last year (at Cape Town) for a day's birding and presume they will have contacts in the Kruger area.
Alternatively (guessing you're going in the Kruger Park itself!!), try some of the park rangers: many are excellent birders (not just mammals), but I suspect you may need someone local to steer you in the right direction re: the appropriate point of contact.
 
I would be happy to assist. I live in Nelspruit which is close to the park, and we do wildlife safaris in the Kruger. I am a specialist bird guide, I just dont do much guiding anymore as the business keeps me busy, but if you let me know where you will be staying, or if you have any set plans already then I can try and help you.
