Snowy Egret or Great Egret (1 Viewer)

I noticed that this egret has a black bill which is one identity for a snowy egret, however this egret does not have yellow feet. Black feet is an identity for a great egret, right? So is this a great egret? Picture also taken at Don Edwards San Francisco Bay National Wildlife Refuge. Thanks!

Yellow loves, thin bill etc = Snowy Egret. Feet should be more yellow but appear muddied so the colour isn't obvious

that is a snowy egret with mud covering its feet. the yellow lores (around the eyes) is another reliable way to identify a snowy egret. A great egret will always have a yellow bill which is also noticeably thicker than the snowy's black bill.
