Common Crane

I went to see the Common Cranes at Glympton, Oxon today. There are 9 of them and they are beautiful. On several occasions one of them went into its courtship dance. Quite entrancing.

Other birds seen:

Buzzard 13
Sparrowhawk1
Kestrel 1
Skylarks numerous
Yellowhammers 10
Red legged Partridge 5.

Thanks for the report Steve,

I'd love to see Cranes - anywhere would do, but esp in UK.

We have friends in Oxon (called Crane as it happens!), who we visit 2 or 3 times a year - do you know if the Cranes hang about at all, or do they only show up sporadically?
