Asahi beer

Not sure if it is the same Asahi group, but they seem to have bought 5 leading beer brands.

Perhaps the view through Pentax binoculars will be more fluid.

The Asahi person who thought up the gold coloured coatings on some classic Pentax binocular eyepieces had probably consumed a lot of beer.
The view through these is decidedly odd even when sober.

Pentax binoculars are made by Ricoh now. Many of them are made in the Philippines. Their AD 9x32 WP is a near clone of the now almost legendary Sightron Blue Sky II 8x32.

Off topic when the Sapporo beer used to be made in Japan it was the best tasting beer. Since they started to make it in Canada it taste horrible.

Agree entirely, but sadly that is not a Sapporo specific issue.
Kirin is another victim of this trend to global brewing, which imho is a fraud operating on the assumption that the customer is too dumb to recognize that the product is different, even though the label is the same.
I think Lowenbrau was the first to pioneer this 'Brewed under license' scam, that was not at all the same either.

For all that if the local version is stored properly in a dark environment it is better than an original beer from the old country which has exceeded its shelf life or sat in sunlight too long. In most cases, if you examine the label carefully, you will find out where it has been brewed.

Never the less, I can tell you from personal experience, that Canadian Beer, like Molsons and LaBatts that is drunk while visiting Canada is better than the versions we get in the USA which are commonly found in many bars, either on tap or bottled.
