Bird Flu
178 bar headed geese reported dead from bird flu found in a lake in a nature reserve in Qingha Province last month. I am no expert but I understand the migration path extends from Siberia to New Zealand.
The disease has only been known to kill humans in close contact with birds up to now but what are the implications for the world bird population? Bird flu in migrating birds. Thie mind boggles. |
