Whistle manufacturers in UK?
Does anybody know of any bird whistle manufacturers in the UK? I'm doing some research on some possible art projects and may wish to make contact if there are any.
With thanks, Jeremy |

There's a place in Alford, Lincs, that makes bird callers out of bits of hazel branches. I've got a tawny owl and a blackbird, and they're more 'woodwind' than whistles. Can't remember the name of the company, but have a look on the web. Can't be that many places in Alford!

Acme Whistles in Birmingham is one of the great British manufacturers - a heritage as long as your arm and pretty much the inventor of the modern whistle as we know it. Today they make hundreds of different varieties.
I'm sure they make one or two bird whistles - try a google search and I'm sure they will come up.
