Ziess Terra 10x32 vs Brunton Eterna 10x32

I have a set of the Bruntons and am generally happy with them. I use them for hiking, backyard birding and general use. I can get the Ziess for a very good price but am wondering how much improvement they will actually be.

Hi Johns824,

Welcome to Bird Forum!

The Zeiss 10x32 TerraED will have a wider Field of View of about 1/2 and slightly longer eye relief of 16.5mm to 15mm than your Brunton. It also has ED glass and should be better against Chromatic Aberration.

Also Zeiss is still in the business of making binoculars if anything should go wrong with the Terra ED. Brunton, as far as I know, is out of the binocular business. They still make monoculars and other stuff.

Contact Brunton here: https://www.brunton.com/pages/contact-us

There is a review of the Zeiss 10x32 TerraED here: https://www.allbinos.com/1648-Carl_Z...fications.html Scroll down to read it.

Bob

I haven't tried the Brunton, but the Terra EDs were recently released. I am sure with the latest lens and coatings you are going to see an improvement. But I would rather you save up a bit more and get a pair of Conquests or the like.
