Hi Robam!
I'm amazed no-one has replied yet, so I'll chuck in my two-centimes-worth just to keep you near the top!
You could probably do a lot worse than Porthgwarra: Peregrines are regular there (well: I've ALWAYS seen them!) and you stand a chance of good seabirds (though maybe June is a little early!) No doubt some kind soul will tell you where you can see Chough too!

You may see Peregrines at Looe because they hunt around the sea front. There are a few nests nearby but obviously I can't say where

BUT!!

Go to Plymbridge woods in Plymouth because the RSPB have set up a viewing platform to watch the breeding pair there. You also have a good chance of Dipper, Wood Warbler and Mandarin.

Gannets are easy to see from Looe, there are always a few flying to and fro - often at a distance so bins or a 'scope would be useful. Other coastal birds you should see are things like Manx Shearwaters, Sandwich Terns etc. Also look out for Little Egret - common on all the estuaries and plenty at Looe.

For Puffins you need to be on the North Coast - Rumps Point is a good spot. Park in the NT car-park at Pentire Farm and walk the footpath to the point overlooking the Moulles- (Small islands) Scan the islands and the surrounding waters. Also a good spot for Corn Bunting which is rare locally.

Choughs - Lizard village, most Southerly Point. Buy a cuppa in the cafe, sit outside and let the RSPB volunteers show you the birds, you may be very lucky and get to meet Birdforums very own Aquila - the sunniest of sunny Jims.
