Exclamation Whats a fair price for my Kowa?

Hi All,

Out of interest I have the following items that I'm considering selling to fund a better lens for my DSLR - The problem is I have no real idea of the secondhand value and was wondering if you'd be able to give me an idea?

1 of Black Manfrotto 144 Bird tripod, with 128RC head and tripod strap, in very good condition

1 of Kowa TS612 Straight scope, in very good condition

1 of Kowa TSN x20 wide angle eyepiece (just marked Ø77 20X WIDE Japan), very good condition

1 of Skua type stay-on case to suit (good condition)

Regards

Mark

Try looking on eBay - that should give you a good idea - I think there might be one listed now.

Also, most of the leading Optics suppliers advertise second hand items on their websites: Ace Optics, Swoptics, In-focus etc.

Birdnet Optics are selling a second-hand tripod & head like yours in excellent condition for £75. So I guess selling privately you would expect to get a little less.

Mark,
I'm in the market for a scope - my old kowa finally gave up the ghost on Skomer this week!
Is yours still for sale?
Glenn.
