Interesting behavior

hi yall, I have witnessed twice now my hummingbirds walking ,not this might sound crazy but doing the side step like a sparrow or other small bird would do to get to food, is this a normal thing or perhaps just the first time Ive actually seen this behavior? going thru 1 gallon of birdy juice every 3 days now there eating/drinking like crazy here, most of my the broods are being introduced to my feeders one lady has not hatched hers yet ,and I do hope there ok, been keeping my distance from her nest , but the grass needs cut in that area badly but i dont want to run mower till babes hatch and leave nest

I've never noticed them walking before. Never really thought about it until I read your post!

They have been really increasing in numbers here (central North Carolina) as well despite a slow start this year. I've put together some photos from the last few days of hummer activity. Click here
