Hi jam Looks like a little blue on the wing to me. I can see the grey tip on the bill and the wing signature looks like one I saw near Lake Erie this past Spring.

thanks, i guess this one shoulda been obvious. i realize there aren't many types of herons around here, but i had never seen a LB flying. i guess i was just surprised at how "big" a "little" blue is!
very pretty color. |
