This Hawk was quite a distance from me. It made a call that sounded like a muffled version of a Red-Tail Hawk and I see that Red-Tails can have dark markings across the belly/breast like this one. Somehow it looks a little different than some of the other RTH's in the area. Is it a RTH?-Please confirm.

Red-tailed Hawk
This Red-tailed Hawk shows both plumage and structural characteristics typical of the species: it is dark-headed and pale-tailed, and looks huge and dumpy. The belly band (an imprecise name for an area of streaking that can actually extend well up on the breast) is extensive and dark on this individual.
