Swarovski Tethered Objective Covers 42mm fit the Nikon Monarch 8x42 Binocular?

Does anybody know if the Swarovski 42mm tethered objective covers that they sell at Eagle optics will fit the Nikon Monarch 8x42 binoculars. They have some Eagle brand tethered objective covers that will fit the Nikon Monarch but I doubt they are as good of quality as the Swarovski's because I had the Swarovski's and they are great quality soft rubber. Thank you.

Dennis

Dennis,

Measuring the OD of the two binoculars should tell the story, no? To stay in place, my guess is they should be ±1 mm of each other. I agree that the Swaro accessories are first class, but getting those bands stretched over the objective tubes can be a challenge.

My 10x42 SLC measures exactly 55mm OD. The cover part is #643-952A. They are no more expensive from Swaro Customer Service than EO.

I contacted Eagle Optics and they said the 42mm Eagle tethered objective covers would fit the Nikon Monarch(8x42) but the Swarovski tethered objective covers would not fit. I ordered the Eagle objective covers. They were only $7.00 for the set versus about $!8.00 for the set of Swarovski's. They said they were pretty close in quality although not quite as heavy as the Swarovski's. Eagle Optics is a great place to deal with by they way!

Of course, I meant Swaro covers purchased at EO — which, I agree, is a great place to deal with.
