The Opticron is a larger scope, 80mm will give you the edge as it should be very bright, and the zoom will make the decision for you as to whether to get one, two or three eyepieces and what size etc. You may progress, upgrade or stay the same, but I think it is a good starting point. No error, well done! Please note - I started with a nikon ED78 and 25-75x eyepiece - it is all that yours is, but never prevented me adding another couple of scopes, and 3 more pairs of bins and 4 digital cameras, Digital SLR and full EagleEye digiscoping kit. - you've been warned lol. Now go out and enjoy to the full!

Sounds like a very good set up to start with, much better than the kit I was using for the first 15 years or so... the ES80ED is an excellent scope, I'm sure you'll be very happy with it. Personally I prefer lower mag bins, but if the 10x feels right to you then the DBAs are certainly a good pair.
